Go and get it at

About the animations: The height of the sequence-file must be also the width of every frame
If you create some cool animation send me at averhoev.2@hccnet.nl

Update on this one, I've changed the mouseover-event.
In the previous version I used the WM_MOUSEMOVE message and the mouse is near the window's borders-technic, which doesn't always work properly.
Now I have switched to the NT-only function TrackMouseEvent() which always work properly. Link is still the same btw http://home.hccnet.nl/averhoev.2/AnimatedShortcut.zip

It works very well! One small thing,(sorry to keep bugging you)it starts the animation ,then pauses for a few milliseconds then starts up again.Maybe a small delay before the animation starts to let OD release the processor.(if that makes any sense)
Still very cool!

uhhm, not exactly sure about what you mean.
I think what you mean is, when hovered OD magnify the icon and that is when the animation is halted for a few milliseconds. I will see if I can work around that.
BTW, an animation for an e-mailclient will be cool. Something like an envelope opening and closing or something like that

I've uploaded one that has a built-in delay of 100ms before the animation will start on hoover. This will workaround the delay I guess. http://home.hccnet.nl/averhoev.2/AnimatedShortcut.zip

If I mouse up directly into the icon it tries to start the animation immediately, then a slight pause and it resumes.I think its because OD is still using the proc.If ialready have an icon zoomed and come to the animated one from the side, its less noticeable.
