One thing to note, is that Corel was bought by Vector Graphics last year, so the Who knows what the results will be. I am hopeing for the best. Not just for PSP but for CorelDRAW, witch has been getting a bit out of hand of late. Perhaps they will Put a bit more polish into, and work on stability.

Got my upgrade to 9 just under the wire. I remember when Corel bought the KPT filters. I managed to get them with the purchase of Draw 12.

I hope that's good news...

Once upon a time a small UK product - Xara, a great vector graphics app - was bought in by Corel, who were to provide all the marketing. Naturally, since it was in direct competition to CorelDraw, Corel kept it tucked away in a little corner until they had chance to add all the functionality that Xara had into it's own product.

Who knows what will happen to PSP?

(If you want a really quick, quality vector app you can download the trial version of Xara X1 from xara.com - it's well worth a try.)

PSP was one of the best, if not the best, programs I've used.

Now that Corel's bought them out...that doesn't bode well, I fear.

Sigh...

thats not good
i still enjoy using paintshop pro over photoshop for quick and simple things, its a nice program and im sorry to see them bought out by a company who essentially failed in the same market.

This is not good news. If Corel is smart they will leave their hands off of PSP, but I fear that based on past performance, they they will not and one of the great programs around will disappear. Time for me to upgrade while I can.

Perhaps the PSP team has a new product for us after CorelDraw smothers this one?? When they tire of their new yachts and planes, that is!

I agree I really hope Corel Leaves it alone..Jasc was the ONLY Quality alternetive to people who cant afford Corels 350 dollar price and Photoshops 700dollar price..I have seen better work from Jasc that can be done with the more expensive proggys..Maybe thats why Corel Bought em...Their scared to be showen up...

Didn't Microsft buy Corel a few years ago? Or did they just buy the Corel Office suite?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I'm still bitter that Corel bought MetaCreations Painter.

I bought my PSP 9 upgrade just two weeks ago, thank goodness.
